ISV - RMIT Academic Credit

ISV participants based in Australia and New Zealand have the opportunity to earn academic credit for their participation in the two-week volunteer component of the ISV program. These credits will be awarded through an Australian University, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).  The syllabi for the Natural Resources Management and Community Development courses are available here.

  • Course Name:  Science Project, Course Code:  ONPS2186 – Science Project
  • The course is offered in two disciplines: Natural Resources Management (for Costa Rica, Thailand and New Zealand) and Community Development (Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Thailand).
  • All students enrolled in this option are eligible to earn 12 Credit Points
  • Each individual is responsible for taking the course syllabus to their course supervisor at their home university and ensuring that they are eligible to accept RMIT credits.
  •  For Australian and New Zealand citizens and permanent residents, the tuition fee for this course is AUD$1575. Australian students are eligible to defer the tuition fee through the Australian Taxation Office’s High Education Contribution Scheme (HECS) as a BAND 2 subject.
