|
 |
In addition to the five included activities in the ISV Croatian Adventure Tour, ISV is pleased to offer participants traveling to Croatia this exciting Optional Activity Package (OAP). These activities are more of the best that Croatia has to offer in outdoor adventure and appreciation of the spectacular natural surroundings. Each year about 95% of participants choose the ISV Optional Activity Package as it adds such great value to the overall experience. All activities in the package will be organized by ISV staff prior to arrival, which ensures availability so that a participant won’t miss out. All participants have to do is show up and be ready to have a great time!
The Croatian Optional Activity Package Includes:
| Mt Medvednica Day Tour |
Experience the best of Zagreb’s surrounds with a tour to the medieval fortress of Medvedgrad. This is the most important medieval monument in Zagreb, initially built in 1250 to protect the city from Tartar invasions, then owned by a succession of aristocratic families. Afterwards, enjoy a stunning hike through dense forests of beech, oak, chestnut and fir. Situated just above the city, the Medvednica mountain massif dominates the skyline and offers great views of Zagreb and the surrounding plains. |
| Cetina River Canyoning |
Experience the adrenaline rush of rappelling down the beautiful limestone cliffs of the Cetina River canyon. Once on the river, the adrenaline continues as we splash through rapids, jump from ledges and navigate the more difficult sections of our descent down the river by zip-line. After more swimming and floating in crystal clear pools we rappel another section to get to the ‘big jump’. Whatever your level, this activity has something for everyone and in the summer heat, the Cetina River is definitely the place to be! |
|
Kolocep is one of the most interesting of the 13 Elafiti Islands, and paddling through the emerald green waters is a perfect way to explore. We will board our kayaks on the sandy beach and start a journey through a dramatic landscape of rocks, high cliffs, hidden caves and bays. The peacefulness of kayaking allows us to glide quietly past nesting birds, spot fish in the water and access secluded areas. |
| Dubrovnik’s Old Town |
Step back into the 9th Century with your entry ticket into Dubrovnik’s Old Town, a time when the townsfolk were fortifying themselves against barbarian invasions. Your wanderings through this UNESCO World Heritage Area will take you through marble-paved squares and steep cobbled streets to tall houses, convents, churches, palaces, fountains and museums – all cut from the same light colored stone. You will also see the complete reconstruction of areas which were hit in the infamous Dubrovnik shelling of 1991, part of the former Yugoslavian civil war. |
| Omis Rock Climbing |
It’s time to enter a vertical world as we explore the limestone cliffs of Omis! Set amidst an amazing mountain backdrop, we will be instructed in the intricacies of rock craft as we scale to great heights. Also test your nerve on a series of rappels (descending a fixed line) – the ultimate challenge is 150ft high! |
All activities are subject to change without notice. Any and all changes are within the discretion of ISV, Inc.
Please note: The package must be purchased as a whole rather than a selection of one or more of the activities mentioned above.
